Directions:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (you can use whole-wheat flour)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Combine the flour and cocoa in a bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar (with an electric mixer if possible). Add the egg and vanilla, and beat until well blended
- Gradually add flour mixture, beating until blended.
- Shape dough into a disk, wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Roll out dough on parchment paper to about 1/4 of an inch.
- Cut out the football shapes with a cookie cutter. (I got my cookie cutter at Hobby Lobby).
- Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Bake 10-12 minutes.
- Cool. If you want to add decorations, now is the time!
- Enjoy your cookies while watching some football.
