AlphaCord and our processing partner, Bergen Community Blood Services, are jointly commitment to superior quality. We maintain all required regulatory licensing and accreditations to ensure your baby’s cord blood and cord tissue are processed and stored at the highest of standards.

AABB Information

AABB Accredited Cord Blood & Cord Tissue Laboratory

AlphaCord’s partner laboratory, Bergen Community Blood Services has been processing samples for over 20 years. It is accredited by the American Association of Blood banks (AABB). In order for a lab to become accredited, it must meet and adhere to the strictest of quality standards. After initial accreditation, member labs across the world are regularly inspected by the AABB and must demonstrate they are meeting the latest guidelines for processing, storing and distributing blood products.

FDA Registered

The FDA regulates certain human cell and tissue-based products. These include umbilical cord blood and umbilical cord tissue. Our FDA registration requires that certain steps, including the processing, storage, and distribution of these products, must be adhered to.

 

CLIA

CLIA certification ensures the use of quality laboratory testing on specimens derived from humans for health assessment or to diagnose, prevent, or treat disease.

 

New Jersey Department of Health License

We are licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. Their state requirements provide another set of regulatory assurances for N.J. residents regarding blood and tissue products. These include cord blood and cord tissue.

 

New York Department of Health License

We are licensed by the State of New York Department of Health. Their state requirements provide another set of regulatory assurances for N.Y. residents regarding blood and tissue products. These include cord blood and cord tissue.

 

California Department of Health License

We are licensed by the State of California Department of Health. Their state requirements provide another set of regulatory assurances for CA residents regarding blood and tissue products. These include cord blood and cord tissue.
