More Testimonials

We chose to preserve Nyah's newborn stem cells after reading a brochure in our doctor's office. We looked at several other cord blood banking companies and almost didn’t store at all due to such unaffordable rates. It wasn’t until the end of my pregnancy that we saw the brochure for AlphaCord in my doctor’s office. AlphaCord's pricing was very reasonable, and after reading about the benefits of storing cord blood, we decided to go through with storing in case something were to happen in the future.

AlphaCord has been wonderful to work with from the beginning. I went into labor two weeks early, so we hadn’t even received our kit yet. We contacted AlphaCord on the way to the hospital and they rushed a kit over very quickly. We were lucky they were able to locate one so quickly, because our little girl was born within 45 minutes of us getting to the hospital. Hopefully, this is something we never have to use, but is worth the money spent.

Nyah is 14 years old now, and we plan to keep her stem cells stored as long as we are alive. Having Nyah’s cord blood and tissue stored with AlphaCord has given us peace of mind, and is a decision we will never regret.

Jenna's Children

While pregnant with our first child back in 2003, my husband and I did our homework on cord blood banking and decided it was a great opportunity that we didn’t want to pass up. When contacting AlphaCord, we experienced a knowledgeable staff, affordable pricing, and a sense of security that this was the right decision.

We have stored all five of our children’s cord blood, and cord tissue for some, with AlphaCord. We understand and greatly respect that our children may never use their cord blood samples, and we hope they never need to, but if by that small chance there is a need for them, we want to know that the cells are available for our children.

We would rather spend the money and never use them, then save the money and need them someday.

Lynn's Grandchildren

I am the proud mother of five sons, and the equally proud Mimi of eight grandchildren. Six years ago our first son’s family was having their third and final child. My husband is a microbiologist (geneticist) and two of our five sons have an autoimmune disorder (Crohn’s Disease). We had researched stem cell initiatives extensively and decided that we should offer to store their cord blood and tissue cells. This was not an easy decision, as another grandchild was due that same month and three of our sons had not started their families yet. We knew that this initial financial investment would replay itself many times. We also wanted a company that we knew would be viable for the next generation and after some more research decided on AlphaCord. They have been very helpful, even expediting collection kits when it looked like labor was imminent.

They also recently sent a check for suggesting Alpha Cord to extended family, which was a nice surprise. So far we have paid for cord blood and tissue storage for five grandchildren. The initial cost and the resulting storage costs were something we thought we could afford, and also something that we believed we could not afford to ignore. Stem cell therapies were not as advanced six years ago, but we both felt that what the future might hold was impressive and realized that one could not go back, their future was now. We also recognized that fetal tissue could possibly help others in the family, not just the donor. The financial restraints of families just starting out may have precluded them from taking this initial step, but was much easier for empty nesters. We have talked with many of our peers who are entering grand-parenting about this option. We have never regretted this decision, in fact, we sleep better knowing that at least this much we have done for them in a timely manner. Hopefully, these cells will never be needed, but if they are, they are available. Incidentally, we were just informed that my husband’s sister might undergo a new stem cell therapy for ALS. As science moves forward, we want to be prepared, and AlphaCord makes that possible.
